This 962C was built by Porsche at the factory in September of 1986 and delivered to Trust Racing in December 1986. The car was raced primarily in the JSPC Series in Japan with Vern Schuppan heading a team of drivers including Keiichi Suzuki & James Weaver The car raced a successful 6 race season in 1987 with (2) second places, a third and (2) tenth places, with the car finishing effectively 4th in the championship. In 1988 the race car ran four time in the series with a 2nd place finish in Suzuka. It was driven then by George Fouche and Vern Schuppan .
