Porsche 962 128 was delivered to Brun Racing (Walter Brun) in November of 1986. It was first raced at the Daytona 24 Hour in February of 1987, finishing second overall. It continued in the IMSA series until 1989 at which time ti was prepared and raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 10th overall.

In 1990, this car underwent a complete restoration by Rudi Walch (Brun’s team manager). It is currently fitted with a 3.0 liter twin turbo (air/water motor) with 1.2 motronic and K27 turbos as it was raced at Le Mans. The car was purchased by a US Porsche collector and was used only one time in 1992 at a PCA track day at Mid Ohio. It has remained in a private collection until today. Canepa Design has just completed a extensive inspection and race preparation of the car and it is now ready for track use.

Canepa race prep includes:
Crack check engine mount, and all suspension components. Flush brake system and install new pads. Install new BBS wheels with new Goodyear slicks. Inspect engine and transmission, replace all fluids and rebuild oil and cooling pumps. Perform leak down and compression tests. Inspect turbos. Flush and bleed clutch hydraulic system. Flush and inspect fuel system, install new fuel lines. Restore dash and seats with new correct coverings, install new seat belts and fire system. Inspect entire electrical system. Completely clean and detail chassis, under tray, and body. Refinish all black painted areas on the car. Test run engine and check for proper operation, set up suspension.
