1967 Porsche 911R Prototype — SOLD Other cars available, please contact us

Chassis No. 307670
The last and lightest 911R of the 4 factory prototypes. This car is possibly the most correct and lowest mileage 911R in the world.

This car features fiberglass doors, hood, rear deck, bumpers and front fenders. Additional weight savings were gained by the use of Plexiglas side and rear windows, and lightweight taillights and turn signals. The car is correct as built by the factory with only 7,500 km on the odometer.

The factory kept this car until 1969 when it was sold to Sonauto in Paris. The car was put in storage in 1971 having only been driven 2,343 km. In January of 1991 U.K. collector Martin Konig purchased the car and had it freshened by Moto-Technique for use in the 1995 Tour Auto. In addition to a new exterior paint applied in the original color of Citron yellow, the seats were replaced with fresher factory seats from the period. After the Tour Auto in 1995 a new engine was built to period specifications. The car was then sold to a private collector in Hong Kong.
