This two owner, California car, was originally sold at El Monte Ford. The factory options included; Shaker Hood, rear wing, close ratio 4-speed, Trac-lock differential, power steering, power brakes, and tilt wheel.

In 2004 a complete “nut and bolt” award winning restoration was performed. Since the car had lived in California all of its life it was not subject to rough weather conditions and was absolutely rust free. Nothing was overlooked in the restoration to make this Mustang exactly as delivered. The attention to detail is outstanding. Everything is factory fresh and in concours condition.

Canepa Upgrades
Recently Canepa design has upgraded this car with engine, suspension and brake systems for improved performance and handling. Nothing was done to the car that would effect its originality. All original parts were retained and come with the car*.

Engine
The original 302 engine was completely rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. New forged pistons, Comp cam, blueprinted intake manifold and Holley carburetor were added. A modern electronic ignition system takes care of the spark. A new Quartermaster clutch was fully balanced and a high performance exhaust system added. The result is 385 Horsepower!

Chassis upgrades include:
Lowered suspension components include. front upper and lower control arms, coil springs, lowered rear leaf springs, and sway bars New Koni adjustable shock were installed. The brakes were replaced with a New Baer four wheel disk brake system. To improve steering response a contemporary close- ratio power steering unit was installed. The front suspension tower support cross member was custom fabricated.

Wheel and tire upgrades include:
17x8.5” (front) and 17x10” (rear) American five spoke custom built alloy wheels with 255/45ZR17 (front) and 285/40ZR17 (rear) high performance speed rated radial tires.

Miscellaneous upgrades include:
Custom leather steering wheel, original 70’s Sun tachometer, heavy duty cooling system, Hella H4 HID headlamps, custom floor carpets, factory original rubber mats, etc.
