Chassis No. 129021358
This “R Group” 911 was built on a pristine rust free California “Black Plate” chassis by David Loop in 2006. The “R” look starts with factory steel RS rear flairs and a steel “S” front bumper. All side and bumper trim were removed and all holes welded closed. A lightweight 911 RS one-piece fiberglass rear bumper was fitted. New Dupont Chromabase paint in the original Burgundy color was applied to the exterior of the car. The original car was so nice that the door jams are still the factory paint!
A total mechanical upgrade and restoration was performed including the Installation of a custom built 250 hp 3.0 911 SC engine and 915 transmission. The hardware on the car was either re-plated or replaced with new factory parts including new steel brake lines. A new external factory oil cooler was fitted along with all new steel lines and hoses. SC front and rear suspension including aluminum rear trailing arms, Bilstein shocks, stiffer torsion bars and a larger front anti roll bar complete the suspension. The car is fitted with factory 7x15 front and 8x15 Fuchs alloy wheels and Bridgstone S03 tires. Ventilated 911S front and rear brakes with new factory backing plate greatly improve the braking power.
The “R” look continues on the interior of the car where the stock seats have been replaced with period race seats, 911RS style roll bar and a factory leather steering wheel. The remainder of the interior items such as the carpet and headliner are all original to the car and in perfect condition. 911RS door panels replaced the stock units and the instruments have been modified with new custom aluminum bezels.
The lights have been upgraded to new Bosch H4 headlights, European
rear lenses and very rare Italian front turn signal lenses. Factory optional
fog lights and accompanying horn grills have been installed. The car comes
with its original jack, 911S factory tool kit and owners manual. The detail
and quality of this car is second to none, it has been driven only 1500 miles
since the restoration and all scheduled service have been done.
