When Seinfeld approached the Porsche factory with his desire to order a new Speedster the Sonderwunsch (Special Wish) department pulled out all the stops and helped him create the ultimate Speedster. The results are breathtaking, finished in “paint to match” Maritime blue and powered by a hand built 300 hp RS spec, this Speedster is absolutely awesome!
Unique Factory Options
Special offset RS Speedline 18” wheels (the wheels cost $12,000 alone), limited slip differential, blue leather instrument surround, hand brake, door pulls and shift knob match the special order Maritime blue exterior paint. The car was also ordered with the “CR-1” AM/FM Stereo and full climate control with air conditioning.One of kind RS Spec Engine
The car was ordered new from Porsche with an RS spec 300 hp 3.8 liter version of the M64 engine, but since Porsche did not sell an RS Spec Speedster in the US it was delivered to Andial, Porsche’s US performance division, with a US spec engine along with all the factory RS parts. At Andial, Porsche Factory technicians disassembled the engine and installed the factory RS parts. The engine features RSR 3.8L pistons and cylinders, 993 sport cams, modified oil pump, modified air cleaner, flowed heads with racing three angle valve seats, light weight flywheel, new EPROM, sport exhaust, and Carrillo rods.Seinfeld enjoyed the car but drove it very little, after a few years he decided to sell the Speedster. Since his ownership the car has only been in the hands of true Porsche enthusiasts and on display in private collections. It is in BRAND NEW condition with only 9391miles of use from new.

In late 1989, the 911 underwent a major evolution with the introduction of the Type 964. Basing the new Speedster on this platform made all the difference when comparing it to the earlier versions. It shared the same wheel/tire package and lightweight specifications as the RS America. But being a Porsche, the '94 Speedster benefited from considered changes of its own, including a strengthened windshield frame, a smoother-looking fiberglass top cover, and easier top operation.
