Porsche never produced a 993 Speedster and it is unlikely that a version will ever appear on the 996, as arguably the Boxster fills that position. Of all the 911 Speedsters produced the 964 Speedster is the rarest of them all, with only 936 cars produced and only 427 delivered to the United States. This particular car is even more unique featuring special order India Red paint and only 10,000 miles of use in it’s life.
Unless special ordered the 964 Speedster was only available in three colors, red, white, or black. This car was special ordered in India red for an additional cost of almost $2000. In addition the car came from the factory with special red tartan upholstery. Unlike most other Speedsters this car is also equipped with the optional factory Air conditioning and full climate control.
Powered by the 247hp 3.6 liter engine of the 1994 Carrera 2, and 5 speed manual transmission this car has stunning performance, 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds, and the quarter in 14.1 seconds at 103 mph. Handling? Try 0.90g. The ‘94 Speedster benefited from considerable changes over previous models, including a strengthened windshield frame, a smoother-looking fiberglass top cover, and easier top operation.
Upgrades
In addition to the special order paint this car has some unique features not
found on other Speedsters such as the RUF front spoiler, and Boxster roll
bar/wind deflector. The car also features a modern Nakamichi CD-400 AM/FM
radio-CD player.
We have just completed a complete concours level detail on the car. In addition the car has been lowered and a full suspension alignment performed, wider rear tires (275/40 ZR17 rear, 205/50 ZR17 front) have also been fitted. The wheels have been completely refinished in satin black with mat black caps.
With only 10,000 miles of use this car is in BRAND NEW condition!
The car comes with full tool kit, owners manual, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and original window sticker.
