The "Coke bottle" look made the Charger one of the best-looking muscle cars, period, with many considering it the best-looking performance car of the 1960s. All Charger R/Ts came equiped with heavy duty suspension and brakes and optional rear bumblebee stripes. But this car is one of just a handfull that came equipped with the optional Hurst 4-speed and 425 HP Hemi engine.

This low miles car has just had a complete 100 point Concours restoration. It is a numbers matching car and was restored back to the exact specification as it left the factory. This is one of only 432 Hemi Chargers built in 1969 and one of only 207 that were equipped with a 4 speed transmission. Includes Chrysler Registry documentation. Assembled in the Hamtramck MI plant on October 18th 1968.

The Dodge Charger was a response to the fastback fad started by the Mustang and the Barracuda, but on a much larger scale. Based on the midsize Dodge Coronet model, the Charger was launced in 1966 and quickly became a sales hit with its dramatic "Coke bottle" styling of 1968. From the beginning, it packed serious muscle, from the 318 V8 to the all mighty 426 Hemi. Finally, the MOPAR street crowd had some serious midsize muscle to bring to the party.
