This Concours winning Cabriolet has been privately owned for the past seven years and was treated to the very highest level of care. It has only been driven 10,000 miles since a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration was completed and has a total of 100,615 miles since new. The car comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity which confirms it is a numbers matching car and was restored in it’s original color combination of red with black interior.

The show level restoration was performed by Bruce Farrow of Ontario Canada. Farrow is Ontario’s only certified Porsche appraiser and is highly regarded in the 356 world. The car features correct German square weave carpet and Hartz cloth top and boot. The original radio is still in the car and it works perfectly. After the restoration was complete, the car competed on the show circuit often taking Best of Show, Best Restoration, and Best Paint awards. Not wanting a “Garage Queen” the owner then used the car for Sunday drives and tours. As a result the car is not only cosmetically in great condition but it also drives like a new 356.

Driving this car is like stepping into a time machine, it is one of the best running 356s. It has only been driven 1400 miles a year and has had oil changes every 6 months and a complete tune up once a year. The engine has recently been fitted with new Viton seals and does not leak a drop. At the last service brand new period correct Vredestine 165HR 15 tires were fitted and the oil cooler was cleaned and pressure tested.

The C Cabriolet is the best of the 356 line and came new with 4 wheel disc brakes, improved engine and transmission, and an upgraded ventilation system that makes this car a true joy to drive. Cabriolets offers the best of both worlds, quiet, dry and warm as a coupe when the fully padded top is up and all the pleasures of top down motoring when easily lowered. The car is ready for many years of great motoring.
